For First Time Readers
As soon as I finish the front page, and the business and sports (which seem even more depressing these days, I turn to the section of the newspaper my Dad lovingly called "the funny papers."
And I have a good laugh.
My Mom called laughing "medicine for the soul." And Lord knows our souls need it these days.
That's why I always put a cartoon in this newsletter. I'm proud to present what I hope is intelligent dialogue about business and about life here. But I also think we need a laugh.
Here's a news flash - however dramatically today's crises are presented by the ever-starved-for-news-content media, there will be another one tomorrow.
I promise.
At 55 I'm finally realizing that everything is temporary. That's why so little seems "life or death" to me anymore.
In the meantime, let's not lose our sense of humor. ☺
