Song of the Month:
Turn, Turn, Turn
By Pete Seeger

Editor's note: Such an interesting song, written by folk legend Pete Seeger and
made popular by a pioneer folk/rock band The Byrds. (David Crosby's first big band,
fronted by Roger McGuinn.) Seeger reported later that there are only six new words
in his lyrics, all the rest being straight from the Book of Ecclesiastes. It was a
time that I was learning that songs could have deep meaning and this one at 58 makes
even more than it did back then. I also love the harmonies and guitar, one of the
first uses of the 12-string guitar that I remember noticing.

Excerpt: "A time to every purpose under heaven"
