September Music
September Song: You've got a Friend
Artist: James Taylor
Please listen to a short sample of the song.
Essence of the music/lyrics: My guitar hero, John Zingg, gave me the Taylor/Carol King live album recently and I was reminded listening to this song that it is still my aspiration, just as it was when King wrote it and Taylor performed it first in 1971.
Excerpt:
"Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, all you've got to do is call, and I'll be there."

For First Time Readers
Not far behind books for me is "music with meaning" as I like to call it.
Often somewhat beyond the mainstream are lyricists such as Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, James Taylor, Leonard Cohen and others of my youth to current folks like David Wilcox, Ben Harper and the Indigo Girls.
So, each month, like books, quotes and humor, I'll try to share something I like in hopes you may like it too.
